The Long Halloween

Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale is fucking my brain and impregnating it with alien pus.

I just read the long halloween. Yeah, it came out like, a decade ago, but i didn’t have the munny to buy comics then.

Well, i still don’t have munny now, but at least i get to download softcopies. we are all victims of the computar age. Victiiiiims!

So yeah, The Long Halloween is a 13-part Batman whodunnit arc that took place after Batman: Year One. It focused on the mobs in control of Gotham at the time and explained whatever happened to them (’cause they really died down when the costumed criminals came out, y’know).

I think Year One and The Long Halloween greatly influenced Nolan’s Batman films (with a splash of Alan Moore’s The Killing Joke for The Dark Knight Returns), which is great.

Anyway, It’s one of the best comic stories around. Even after eleven years (It came out ’97). And I thought Hush was good.

If you’ve read Year One, you gotta read Batman: The Long Halloween.
